Our Learning Centres
Less Visual Stimulation Leads to Better Learning
At Coral, we understand the importance of creating an environment that supports children's learning processes. Unlike traditional kindergartens with overwhelming visual stimulation, we prioritize simplicity and minimal distractions in our spaces. Extensive research has shown that highly decorated classrooms can actually hinder children's focus and performance. Therefore, we intentionally design our classrooms with uncluttered walls and furniture, storing learning materials and books in accessible yet organized spaces. By utilizing natural, soft colors and eliminating unnecessary visual stimuli, we aim to cultivate a sense of calm and concentration, enabling children to fully engage in their learning activities.

Quieter Spaces Promote Language Learning and Information Processing
At Coral, we recognize the significance of creating a conducive learning environment for language development and information processing. In many early learning classrooms, excessive noise can be a common occurrence, which can hinder children's ability to understand and process language effectively. Research has shown that background noise can impact children's language comprehension, as they are still in the process of developing their linguistic skills. Therefore, it is crucial to establish calm and quiet spaces where verbal communication between teachers and children can take place easily and clearly, facilitating optimal language learning.
To achieve this, we incorporate elements that absorb sound into our classrooms, such as carpeting, curtains, pillows, and cork flooring. These additions help reduce external noise and create a quieter atmosphere that supports children's focus and concentration. By minimizing audible distractions throughout the day, we promote a sense of calm within the learning space, contributing to enhanced learning outcomes and overall well-being. At Coral, we prioritize providing a peaceful environment that fosters effective language learning and information processing for every child.

Natural Elements Foster Focus and Wellbeing
At Coral, we deeply value the connection between children and nature, inspired by the Finnish educational philosophy. We believe in the importance of regular outdoor activities, even in colder weather, as they contribute to the holistic early learning experience. Our curriculum incorporates lessons about nature and environmental awareness, fostering a sense of responsibility towards the natural world.
Nature not only holds significant educational value but also has a profound impact on the mind. Research has shown that exposure to nature and natural elements reduces stress levels, enhances mood, and boosts self-esteem. It also improves attention span and overall psychological well-being. Furthermore, sunlight plays a positive role in uplifting mood. That's why we prioritize natural lighting in our learning spaces, allowing ample sunlight to illuminate the environment.
At Coral, we create learning spaces that integrate natural elements to enhance the learning experience. From wooden furniture to the inclusion of plants, these natural materials positively influence children's focus and contribute to their overall well-being. Moreover, natural materials provide a safer environment compared to synthetic alternatives while ensuring durability and longevity.
By incorporating nature-inspired design and materials, we aim to create a nurturing and stimulating environment that supports children's learning, fosters their well-being, and instills a deep appreciation for the natural world.
